Here’s part of the reason why I deactivated my facebook account (I found this after the fact).
Books, Games and More Books
Nov 17th
So, I’ve been down in the dumps a lot lately, mostly because I hate my temp job and I can’t find anything else. It’s very frustrating.
My previous employer combined my last two paychecks and sent one giant fat one in and I also received my first paycheck from my new job. All at once! It was a glorious weekend despite the bouts of sadness. So, during my lunch break on Friday, I went over to the mall and bought Haunted and Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. Ugh, I love him. He’s amazing. He and I have inside jokes. He puts them in his novels for me. Just kidding. Or am I?
After work, I drove to Best Buy and picked up Gears of War 2. Shamefully, I must admit, I’ve never actually played the original Gears of War. Regardless, it’s a fantastic game and it kept me entertained all weekend long and I’m not even done playing! I also got in some Halo 3 game-play (I’m pretty rusty).
Today I went back to the bookstore in the mall (which is conveniently located right across the street) and picked up Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. I really wanted Lullaby and my initial intent on Friday was to purchase that novel but they didn’t have it. They won’t. They are closing the store. Tough times these days. I was poking around the last name “O” and “P” sections after choosing my Chuck Palahniuk novel and my hands grabbed a novel titled Fuck-Up by Arthur Nersesian. Sound interesting? That’s what I thought too. Read the summary on the back and it sounded like my life a little bit and to me, everything has a reason so I must have picked it up because I needed it. Maybe it will give me some insight. Maybe it will lift my spirits. Maybe I won’t feel like such a fuck-up after reading it. Who knows.
All in all, it was a decent weekend; Full of entertainment and media, which is good in my book. Oh, look, a pun!
OK, I lied. So What?
Sep 22nd
Alright, well I haven’t updated like I said I was going to but oh well. Sue me. Shoot me. People lie all the time, right? No biggie. I don’t know what it is but I’m so lazy when it comes to writing. Now that I’m officially done with school and have officially graduated, I have a little more time to do the things that I enjoy. Tonight I will most likely port this blog over to my domain that I’ve had dormant for awhile. We’ll see. All done.
Sick
Jul 10th
Whenever I get sick I get really loopy. I sort of go… nuts. When I sleep, I have terrible dreams that resemble a mash of random images and some of my worst fears. I know I thrash at night too becasue often times I’ll wake myself up after hitting something. I just go crazy.
Work For It

So I tried out TypePad for two weeks as they offer a free trial. Sometimes, and I don’t know why, I think I should blow money on things that aren’t really worth it.
I thought I’d share one of the more amusing interactions I had with TypePad. I have a BlackBerry so I downloaded their BlogIt! BlackBerry application. It didn’t work for me. Ever. It kept telling me I had no internet connection. I put this information on Twitter and got a response from SixApart pretty quickly urging me to open a support ticket. So I did. After the introduction telling me about problems they have and blah blah blah they instruct me to download some kind of program onto my phone. The message continues:
“After downloading the debug file, you can get the log file
which will be located on your mobile device at
\SDCard\BlackBerry\pictures\logdir\TPErrorLog.txt. You can
use the BlackBerry desktop manager (or a card reader) to
retrieve the file. Please note the log file will contain your password. While
we will not share your password, you can edit the log file
to remove the password before submitting it back to us.The log file can be uploaded to your TypePad account at
Control Panel > Files. Include the filename in your ticket
reply. Finally, could you answer some additional questions?
What is the device model?
How was TypePad installed (directly to device from browser
or via the desktop)?
What does it say in the “Mobile Network” settings in the
Options area?
What does it say in the “TCP” settings in the Options >
Advanced Options area?
What does it say in thee “Service Status” view? (Run the
”Manage Connections” app from the main view. Choose the
”Service Status” option.)
Is your TypePad blog set to private &/or password
protected?”Are you using your BlackBerry through an enterprise setup?
Did someone in your IT department setup the device or did
you just buy it through retail and it just worked
independent of their company? If you are using it through
your company’s service, do you know what type of service
their company is using (BIS, MDS, etc.)?Thanks so much for helping us troubleshoot the problem.
Say what?! I just wanted the application to work not work for the application.
Coming Soon!
Jun 13th
I’m back. I will be writing soon. Very soon. I need to put down all that has happened in the past few months. Or year. I need to write down how I feel. These memories only last so long. These moments are gone too quick.

Over It
May 18th
I am just about totally over Twitter. I can’t stand the constant downtime and connection issues with tools to easily allow updating and receiving of updates. I’m starting to move over to Jaiku. I just don’t have any contacts there yet. I heard about it a few months ago I believe and have been reading more and more about people switching. It’s just about the same as Twitter except without the constant errors. It has yet to provide local SMS numbers, however. Other than that, it’s a beautiful system that allows you to even comment on posts of other people and has recently updated it’s self to include channels.
